Hey Art lovers out there, it’s time to marry your love of creative expression with the beach! This may not be the first thing that comes to mind but this year, you have no excuse to not experience the “best show on H2O.”
The Winterfest Boat Parade has been held in Fort Lauderdale, FL annually for nearly forty years and is the largest, one-day, live audience event in Florida. What you’ll witness is 12 miles of of boats that local artists turned into “canvases of color and lights.” This year, the event will be held on December 12th.

They offer the “Passport to Paradise,” a booklet with little discounts such as 50% off recreation, 20% off at the spa as well as dining and shopping discounts. Each discount you use earns you a stamp and five stamps will earn you a $100 resort credit.
If you’re ready for one of South Florida’s hot spots, the Doral Golf Resort & Spa near Miami has the Escape Your Way Golf or Spa package. These packages include overnight accommodations, daily breakfast and a daily choice of golf or spa.
For the golfers of the group, the package includes your choice of several different golf courses with unlimited use of the driving range and introductory golf clinic.
The “spa-istas” of the group will have a choice between massages, wraps and facials. Massage choices include Swedish, Rewind Aromotherapy, Reflexology or Evolve Massage Sampler. Wraps are restorative and meant to “gently cleanse, re-mineralize and detoxify” your skin. There’s alse the “Drench” wrap which is an aromatherapy wrap that is applied warm. Facials include a clinical peel, a deep cleansing mask or a hydrating facial.
I wouldn’t mind following up a day on the green with some delicious cocktails and a day of pampering at the spa. With these packages, I could definitely do that and not break the bank.
